It is from this world that a young man will rise from the ranks of the everyman to change the course of his life. Will he become the catalyst of good and justice? How will the far reaching changes of his actions impact his friends, his family……an entire universe? If all you ever wanted to do was be a hero, what would you really do the day your dreams came true?
Loss and Hope….
Eight of Aeropa’s best warriors were chosen to be a symbol of Aeropan strength and to lead a preemptive strike against their nemesis the Exiles. The fleet would travel to the outer reaches of their galaxy where the Exiles were amassing their own war machine. The greatest Aeropan blacksmiths and wizards forged mystical battle suits and rune weapons for the eight warriors. Each suit and weapon was designed to enhance the wearer’s skills, abilities and strengths. They were also designed to be the command and control for a legion of automaton soldiers. During a ceremony which would bond the suits and weapons with the heroes, disaster struck. Dhal Kreegan, leader of the exiled races, who had spies deep within the Aeropan Coalition, had long known of the Aeropan’s plans. Dhal plotted the assassination of the heroes to be timed with the Exiles’ war machine attacking the heart of the Aeropan galactic government, their home solar system. His goal was to destroy the great battle fortress “The Squire” and the assembled Aeropan fleet and sack the Aeropan home worlds. The plan was only marginally successful. The heroes were struck down in the middle of the bonding ceremony and the Squire was severely damaged as the Exiles’ fleet invaded the Aeropan solar system laying waste to everything in its path.
With the terrible loss of the heroes and their fleet barely managing to keep the Exiles at bay, the High Council decided to send The Squire out into the galaxy to locate new warriors, those with strength of character and will, those capable of bonding with the battle suits and weapons and leading the Automaton Legion back to save Aeropa. Until The Squire returns, the Aeropans hold the line and keep the Exiles from decimating the home world and delivering a fatal blow to the Aeropan Galactic Coalition.
